The organisation of the Forum on the resilience of groups of children and young people in a context of multiple crises follows on from the African Children’s Forum organised by the MAEJT in Niamey (Niger) in 2017, which was attended by 133 participants from 24 African countries, with technical support from the Nigerien authorities and technical and financial partners.

The overall objective of this edition of the Children of Africa Forum 2024 is to create a space for dialogue and accountability around children’s rights. It’s a time to assess the impact of children’s participation in building communities that protect children’s rights. It’s an opportunity to hear the voices of children and young people on their aspirations for development. Forum 2024 is being held as part of the MAEJT’s 30 years of action to transform victims into actors.
