From May 30 to June 06, 2011 the Nigerian WCYA organised a training workshop on the management of grassroots groups’ activities. It emphasized on the required steps for a better organisation and proper conduct for successful grassroot groups. It dealt with the following themes: AMWCY’s grassroots group concepts, how to organise, hold and facilitate a meeting? What is an action plan and how to draw it up? What kind of activities to lead, why and how to lead them? How to mobilise resources? The role of animators, visits to grassroots groups and debriefing on grassroots groups activities. Participants were visited by Mr. Muyideen, personal assistant to Hon and Mr. Onabamiro, member of the Nigerian parliament, representing the federal district of Badagry. Mrs. Abiola, a former Plan agent promised to support and help the Nigerian WCYA through youth capacity building programs.
